Why is the general rule when interviewing is to wear a suit in black, dark blue, brown or gray? Are these the best colors for every position you are applying for? Does a suit or these colors really match your personality or actually make you feel more confident?

I am sure you heard the saying time and time again 'look good to feel good' or should you feel good when you look good...it really doesn't matter the order, the point is you need to look the part. And I'm not suggesting you fake it until you make it, for it was your resume which got you in the door. So how do you make your outer appearance match what's on paper as well as your inner personality?

It's important to know the essentials when it comes time to interview for a position. Advance preparation is key, for after you critiqued your resume and practice your interviewing skills, it's time to prepare your wardrobe.

Making sure your look is complete and ready to compete in your market consist of more than picking out a suit in a certain color. It is a TOTAL package you must present. Let's face it. We live in a society, should I say, 'judge a book by its cover'. Consulting with an image expert (not your friends) can show you the best interview styles, fabrics, colors, shades, accessories including hosiery/socks and shoes that work for YOU. Think about it, if you had a tooth ache would you consult with your dentist or your friends?

Call us before your next interview so you will know the best colors and style of clothing to wear.
