Step I - No one can make you feel inferior without your permission. You should LIKE YOU AS YOU ARE-common sense demands its, science explain it, religion verifies it.
Step II - ALTER YOUR PHYSICAL APPEARANCE when possible, practical, and desirable. The way you feel about how you look on the outside has a definite bearing on how you feel and see yourself on the inside.
Step III - Listen to the ones who BUILD POSITIVELY because they will build you and your self image.
Step IV - SMILE, try to spread good feelings. The most destitute person in the world is the one without a smile. LAUGHTER is an important part of life. Use it!
Step V - DO SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE else. No one is useless in this world who lightens the burden of another.
Step VI - Pick your associates carefully. You acquire much of the thinking, mannerisms and characteristics of the people you are around.
Step VII - Make a list of your POSITIVE QUALITIES in your journal, on a card, or a piece you can keep in your wallet. LOOK AT IT OFTEN and try to add to the list.
Step VIII - Look your self and others in the eyes. START WITH YOURSELF in the mirror, then try to talk with small children, then with your peers.
