Ever look in the mirror and wonder if this is the right outfit or see one that looks great on someone and feel you got to have it. To make every purchase count and be confident in making wardrobe decisions, first you need to know yourself -- meaning your body types, portion, how to balance your figure and camouflage the flaws.
Just because it looks good on someone else (even your best friend) doesn’t mean it will do you any good. For example: Ladies, if your girlfriend has narrow shoulders, hips and slim waist and you have a slim waist, a little wider shoulders and hips or an hourglass shape; the outfit will not do for you as it does on her.
It's important to know the essentials before heading out to spend your hard earned money at the stores. First, shop in your own closet to create a new outfits. When going out to shop, have a budget and idea of what you are looking for…the best colors, fabrics, shapes and/or lengths. Always try on and take note of how it fits and flatters YOUR body. Also, when a friend has the perfect outfit for you to borrow or have, don’t be so quick to take it. The way an item fits can make or break the entire outfit and most important, YOUR IMAGE!
